The Roman's Road

The Romans Road – A Simple Guide to Sharing Your Faith
-
Everyone has sinned. We all have the same problem: sin.
“As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one.’” Romans 3:10
Every person—religious or not—has missed God’s perfect standard. Sin separates us from Him.
-
We fall short of God's Holiness.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."— Romans 3:23
No one is righteous on their own.
-
God loved us and sent Jesus. God showed His love through Jesus.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
God didn’t wait for us to fix ourselves. Jesus died in our place because of God’s great love.
-
We deserve death but are offered LIFE in Christ. God lovingly provided the solution through Jesus.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 6:23
Eternal life is not earned—it is a gift. God offers forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ.
-
God loved us and sent Jesus. Jesus proved God’s love by dying for us.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
God didn’t wait for us to clean ourselves up. Jesus died in our place while we were still sinners.
-
So you believe on what Christ did on the cross? Are you ready to ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior? Salvation comes by believing and confessing Jesus as Lord.
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” — Romans 10:9-10
Salvation is a heart response that leads to open faith—trusting Jesus and declaring Him as Lord.
-
Anyone can respond—right now. We are part of God's Family
“For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13
God’s invitation is open to everyone. No one is too far gone, and no one is excluded.
YOUR RESPONSE:
Before the Prayer (Important to UNDERSTAND CLEARLY)
Saying a prayer does not save you.
Church attendance does not save you.
Good works do not save you.
Salvation comes from believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and trusting what He did for you on the cross.
This prayer is simply a way to express what you truly believe in your heart.
If you mean these words from your heart, God promises to save you, forgive your sins, give you a home in heaven, and begin a new, abundant life with Christ here on earth.
A Simple Prayer of Faith
“God, I know that I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself.
I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is Your Son,
that He died on the cross for my sins,
and that You raised Him from the dead.
Right now, I turn from my sin
and place my trust in Jesus alone.
I confess Jesus as Lord of my life
and ask You to forgive me and make me new.
Thank You for Your grace,
for the gift of eternal life,
and for the promise of a home in heaven.
Help me to follow Jesus each day
and live the new life You have given me.
I trust You—not my words, not my works—but my Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.”
A Final Reassurance (After the Prayer)
If you truly believed in your heart and trusted Christ, God keeps His promise:
-
You are forgiven
-
You are saved
-
You are God’s child
-
You have eternal life
-
And God will walk with you in an abundant life here on earth (John 10:10)
